Mel’s personal standards and expectations are exceedingly high and as a patient you can’t help but get drawn into this positivity. She is an outstanding practitioner working in a superbly supportive environment.
"I just wanted to write and express my thanks and appreciation to Mel South, who I have been seeing at the Spire Perform Medical Centre over the past 5 months, since I ruptured my Achilles Tenon in December.
After my first session with Mel, it was clear how much knowledge she had about my injury & lower limbs in general, and untimely for the best course of recovery for me. Latterly the passion and enthusiasm she showed during my rehabilitation was infectious, encouraging me to push myself as hard and possible, within the confines of my injury, and ensuring my recovery was as speedy as it possibly could be.
Throughout the ups & downs of my recovery, Mel showed nothing but encouragement & support, for which I will be forever grateful.
I could only conclude by saying that if anyone I know is unlucky enough to injure themselves, in the way I did, there is only one person I would recommend!
Thank you, once again, for all you have done."
"Having been referred from the Spire Hospital for physiotherapy, I initially received treatment from Steph Cain but, after a few sessions, was transferred to Cherish Boxall, whom I have been seeing ever since for strength and fitness exercises. More recently problems with my shoulder have led to me having treatment with Debbie Prince. Without exception all have been kind, caring but firm and focused in their treatment of me. It is a long road to improved fitness impeded by various aches and pains, some of which are definitely being reduced. The ambiance of the gym, the waiting area and the friendliness of the reception staff make it so much more pleasurable to come here for treatment. Although I am not covered by health insurance and have to pay for my own treatment, it really does feel like money well spent."

“When I was referred for physio treatment with Mel by my consultant he used the term “it doesn’t get better than that” – I would verify that 100%. Successful treatment is more likely when the medical staff and the patient work as one with a common goal of high outcome expectation. Mel was consistently challenging, motivating and encouraging inspiring belief that together we would achieve the best outcome possible. She carefully listened to my descriptions of symptoms and seemed to have a cunning plan for dealing with each and every one! Mel’s personal standards and expectations are exceedingly high and as a patient you can’t help but get drawn into this positivity. She is an outstanding practitioner working in a superbly supportive environment.”
"I would like to thank Perform very much indeed for the superb physiotherapy I have received following a total knee replacement. Mary Tebb is so knowledgeable, sensitive and assured and the graded series of exercises she devised have been most effective. She monitored closely my attempts at the exercise regime and always answered my questions very well and gave positive encouragement. The carefully thought out physiotherapy programme has made an inestimable contribution to my post operative recovery."
Perform offered me a chance to make a positive change to my long-term shoulder problem. Now I have almost no discomfort in my shoulder and have renewed enthusiasm for my gym work; an excellent result.
Mel South is amazing and has worked with my son for the last few years. She has treated him pre and post paediatric orthopaedic surgery and continues to do so. She has helped him with his physio but is also so good at keeping him motivated and positive through many surgical operations. We are lucky to have her.
I have seen a couple of therapists so far, one for my knee and another for my back (which I am continuing to see). I must say I’m really impressed by the lovely staff and the professionalism of every member I’ve encountered. There’s so helpful, amazingly thorough at their job and experts at helping me to feel better and improve my condition.
